A Historic Win- Measure 105

On November 6, 2018, Oregon voters overwhelmingly rejected Measure 105, an attempt to eliminate Oregon’s 31-year-old sanctuary law. This bill brought forward by a known anti-immigrant hate group would have allowed law enforcement to cooperate with I.C.E, putting Oregonians at risk of racial profiling. Causa worked to defeat this measure and with the support of the community canvassed the entire state to garner support. With this defeat, Oregonians sent a telling message of support to immigrant communities and their families. Won by a 27 point margin.
